Leah was selected from the historic Butterfield dispersal, where Philip Butterfield referred to her as a “truly monumental mother cow”. She has certainly proven this to be true since she has come to our herd. She had already produced 4 excellent daughters in the Butterfield herd when she was purchased. A son topped the Sun Country Bull Sale at $5000 to Raymond Carnes, Tyler, TX. Another son topped the 2011 sale at $6900 to Rocking L Cattle Co., Wawota, SK. A daughter was our top selling heifer in the 2010 Sun Country Female Sale at $4800 to Reanna Obrecht, Harlan, IA.

Leah is our most prolific donor , having produced 372 embryos by November, 2011, and has averaged 23 grade 1 embryo per flush. We have sold embryos across Canada and USA, as well as to Scotland and Australia. Leah is proof that you can have easy fleshing ability and performance in the same package. She weighs over 2100 lbs on a poor day, and is usually on a diet because she is getting too fat.
